About Us

Established in 2009, Largo Community Ministries (LCM) emerged from a vision to empower Prince George's County youth. Nestled in the heart of the county, our headquarters stands as a testament to the enduring support for our cause. This generously donated 3,000-square-foot facility allows us to provide vital services and programs to the community.

Founded by Pastor Jack Morris, LCM initially focused on after-school programs. Recognizing the need for a safe and nurturing environment outside of school hours, we started with just 9 participants in 2009. Through dedication and a commitment to growth, our after-school program has flourished, reaching [insert number] participants by 2021.

This organic expansion reflects our unwavering dedication to nurturing

the potential of Prince George's County youth.

However, our mission extends far beyond after-school activities. LCM is committed to serving the broader community. In the following paragraphs, we'll explore the additional ways we strive to make a positive impact.

Beyond after-school programs, LCM recognized the need for comprehensive support for Prince George's County families. We understand that a child's

well-being goes beyond educational enrichment. That's why we established a well-stocked food pantry, offering essential groceries to those facing hunger. This program ensures families have access to nutritious meals, fostering

a stable foundation for growth and learning.

Furthermore, LCM addresses the challenges associated with school preparedness. Through our School Supplies & Backpack Drives, we equip students with the tools they need to succeed. These initiatives alleviate financial burdens on families and ensure students enter the classroom confident and prepared.

By addressing these critical needs, LCM fosters a holistic approach to youth development, empowering both students and their families.
