Program Director & Teacher
Susan Haynes Brown
Meet Mrs. Susan, a highly qualified childcare director/teacher with 37 years of administrative and management experience in the federal government. Her expertise extends to child development, group program coordination, staff supervision, and effective communication with both parents and students.
With a visionary outlook and a passion for children's well-being, Mrs. Brown is dedicated to providing high-quality care and ensuring the best possible childcare standards.
Executive Director
Dwayne Hooper
Meet Minister Dwayne Hooper, the Executive Director of Largo Community Ministries, boasts nearly two decades of experience in the banking industry, including a vice president role at a major title and settlement company. His background as a Rutgers University athletic scholarship recipient with a major in Business Economics underscores his strong foundation in business and leadership.
Dwayne's dedication to community service shines through his extensive civic leadership roles, making him a well-rounded and committed leader.
Pre K - 2nd Grade Teacher
Catherine Johnson
Meet Ms. Catherine, an experienced educator with a background in teaching children from pre-kindergarten to third grade. Her ability to manage and engage with children is complemented by her remarkable interpersonal skills, creating a positive learning environment for both children and parents.
With a solid background in telecommunications instruction and a commitment to maintaining high educational standards, Mrs. Johnson is a dedicated and certified childcare teacher known for her effective curriculum delivery.
Pre K - 2nd Grade Teacher
Elaine Williams
Meet Ms. Williams, a dedicated Pre-K through 2nd Grade teacher with a love for fostering young minds. Her experience in early childhood education allows her to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow after school. Ms. Williams is excited to bring her expertise and enthusiasm to the after-school program.
Financial Secretary
Linda Howard
Meet Ms. Linda, one of the two Financial Secretaries at Largo Community Church brings nearly 40 years of experience in the program management and the finance community to her role. Her diverse background includes serving as a financial secretary for a large not-for-profit, treasurer for a non-profit, board director for multiple non-profits in Maryland and Virginia, and ownership of a small tax preparation service.
In addition Ms. Howard has a history of volunteer work as a reading comprehension and mathematics tutor and a strong commitment to community service.
Substitute Teacher
Shirley Christian
Meet Ms. Shirley; a highly qualified, dedicated and passionate educator with a background in substituting for the Largo Community Ministries After School Program. Over the past 5 to 7 years, she has been committed to fostering a positive learning environment for students.
Her expertise extends beyond traditional teaching as also being a trained Dance and Fitness Instructor specializing in working with young children.

Sandra Watson
Meet Ms. Watson, a passionate educator with a knack for connecting with students of all ages. Although a substitute, she brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the classroom, ensuring a fun and engaging learning environment for after-school activities.
