Meet The President

 

Pastor Jack Morris, Founder/Board President

 

Jack Morris founded Largo Community Ministries Corporation in 2009 in order to assist youth in personal and educational development. Jack Morris has been serving the community for over 40 years through his diverse church Largo Community Church, located in Largo Maryland. His experience with the community derives from developing and implementing 50 different ministries. 

 

Jack Morris tenure in dealing with social issues, family issues, marital issues and community issues are a of direct benefit of being a Licensed Pastoral Counselor. It is of know coincidence that he effectively heads a church of over 300 members. Jack Morris is the dominate factor in the change that has brought LCM to be the organization it is today.

  • Special Training:Two years of supervision in marital, family, and individual therapy with two approved supervisors of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy: Assistant Professor of Psychiatry of the University of Maryland and a psychiatric social worker in private practice.

  • 1998 – 2005 - Asia Pacific Theological Seminary - Baguio City, Philippines (Counseling and Ministry).

 

  • Psychotherapist: March 1982 – Present Clinical Director of the Christian Counseling Services, a Maryland based health and mental health professional association.

 

  • MD Graduate Psychology Supervisor, Bowie State University, 1985-1987.
